  • Building ownership and effective leadership in teams

Meet Emilie Hopson:

Emilie Hopson is the founder of Agri-Culture, where she helps ranchers and farmers tackle the tough challenges that come with managing teams and running a business. With over 12 years of experience in Human Resources—spanning the medical field and manufacturing—she has worked with people from all walks of life and navigated all kinds of personalities. These experiences have taught her how to bring out the best in any team, no matter the challenge.

She graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration in marketing from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 2010 and earned her MBA from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2013. Currently, she serves as the HR Manager for a large manufacturing plant, supporting 500 employees and leading a team of 8 HR professionals.  The inspiration for Agri-Culture came from Emilie’s love of helping people in her “off-ranch” HR career and combining it with her true passion for agriculture.

The lightbulb moment came when she realized she could bring her HR expertise to the ag world—especially after watching her husband face challenges where, frankly, he needed an HR lady!

Emilie and her husband, Zach, are both graduates of Ranching for Profit, which has transformed the way they approach ranch management and sustainability. Together, they run a 400-head cow-calf operation in Nacogdoches, Texas, where they are raising three amazing kids—Mary (6), Cora (3), and Conway (2). As a family, they love spending time hunting, fishing, and exploring nature.

Living and working on the ranch, Emilie understands the ups and downs of this life—what works, what doesn’t, and how to find solutions that keep things moving forward. She is passionate about helping ranchers and farmers build stronger teams, create better systems, and solve those “how-do-we-fix-this” moments. Through her partnership with Ranch Right, she is bringing fresh ideas and real solutions to operations just like yours.
