Meet Travis Krause:
Travis Krause grew up on a ranch near D’Hanis, TX that has been in his family since 1846. After studying Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences at Texas A&M University, he worked abroad for a number of years in India and Central Africa. He eventually found his way home and started a direct-to-consumer meat business. He and his wife, Mandy, built Parker Creek Ranch into a profitable business that they continue to operate today.
In 2019, Travis went to work for a private equity firm, SoilWorks Natural Capital, located in San Antonio. There, he was the CEO of GrazingLands, managing ranch assets and livestock. He was also a Venture Partner for the firm, where he helped build multiple startups and early-stage acquisitions. More recently, he served as VP of Highland Beef, a multinational beef and tech company, managing supply chain logistics.
Travis has an intimate understanding and knowledge of ranching and business. He is an avid reader and writer who enjoys learning and disseminating his knowledge to help others. In his free time, Travis and his wife enjoy gardening, camping, hunting, and fishing with their three boys.
